Our Mission and Vision
Canes baseball is a different brand of baseball. Canes national organization is widely considered the premiere travel teams in the country.
At Canes Lake Erie we are part of Canes PA baseball and connected directly to this network. This partnership brings unparalleled opportunities for our players to reach high-level exposure including college and MLB scouting. Canes players are part of the largest scouting network in the US with over 200 players annually committing to college programs.
Canes Lake Erie will focus on 2 things:
- Preparing 13U and 14U athletes to be the best version of themself on and off the field. These are critical ages for players to develop proper fundamentals, strength, speed and culture to make themselves recruitable for college and MLB scouts. Our year round training program provides consistent coaching and mentorship.
- Providing training resources and opportunities for all regional/national Canes athletes in our area through memberships to the Erie Strike Zone Academy.
By preparing ages 13 and 14U, we focus on quality training at the most important developmental years for the 1%! Jumping to the big field is a big step for athletes and we take pride in training athletes to make this transition smoothly. These formative years train athletes to play for regional Canes OV teams and Canes national teams while starting to establish exposure in the Canes network of players.

WE ARE PARTNERED WITH THE ERIE JR SEAWOLVES TO OFFER SOLUTIONS FOR ALL PLAYERS
Our Canes PA Lake Erie teams work lock step with the Erie Jr SeaWolves to provide youth and advanced team options. The youth teams provide a direct pathway to the 1% Canes teams and help teams and families understand the commitment and training philosophies required for regional and national level players. Both organizations train side by side in the Erie Strike Zone Academy (www.eriestrikezone.com) and share the same training techniques and philosophies.
Not everyone will take the same journey to reach the 7% and 1% of athletes that make it to higher levels. Some athletes develop later than others and some families will not be able to travel regional or nationally. This partnership develops pathways for all athletes to become the best versions of themselves on and off the field.
